Baby no more!!

I dont have a baby anymore....hummm...that's so hard for me to grasp! Jamison is such a big boy now!  He's gonna be two in just a few weeks!  This really is bittersweet, as he transitions into boyhood, he's doing awesome, and he really never siezes to amaze me! He's so flipping smart! I know, maybe i'm a little bit biased!!!  We headed down to Devou Park to attempt a 2 year photo shoot on our own.  Even though Jamison was super crabby, and acted like a total heathen, I think we got some good shots!
Innocent!

Sand and Salt!

Thursday was a lazy day....we didn't decide we what we wanted to do until 3pm!!  One of our favorite summer spots is at East Fork Lake State Park over in Ohio.  It's an awesome alternative in our landlocked Kentucky!! Jamsion loves playing in the sand, and Jim and I find it very relaxing! Well, of course being the good Mommy I am, I pack Jamison a plethora of toys to play with!!! Well, kids are rude...just plain rude.  Two children, from two different families decided it was okay to just come take their pick from what Jamison had.  Are you kidding me?  I had the urge to get up and cause a scene, but nah, I didnt, the shovel, and little plastic sand toy werent' really worth it.  But honestly, if you saw your kid playing with a toy you knew you didn't bring for him wouldn't you question where he got it?  Ignorant parents!  O well, other than that, and the huge swarm of nasty seagulls, we really had an enjoyable few hours at the "beach"!

Sittin on Sponge Bob, eatin' some jerky! lol He gets that honestly!

Disgusting creatures! If you know me, you know how I feel about birds!

That evening, we headed over to the Drive-In, the two movies showing were, "Salt", and "The Other Guys".  I liked both!  This was the first time I'd been in a few years, I love the nostalgic feel, and the fact that we can see two movies for less than one costs in Florence!  Jamison got a bit cranky, but thank God for the tv and dvd player in the car!! We turned on a Disney movie for him and he was satisfied!!  We brought chairs to sit outside the van and watch, only one problem, BATS, lots of BATS.  I cant handle it!  Needless to stay I landed in the back of the van before the first movie ended!!!
Checking out the "Bi Teeeete" aka, Big TV! He's silly!

I felt like a tourist!!!

In all actuality, Cincinnati is a pretty cool town! Growing up my silly momma always made it seem like anything across the river was foreign territory!  The plus side to this is there are countless things for the three of us to do!  For this entire week we have forfeited alarm clocks, and well...it's heavenly!  We started out at Khron's Conservatory in Eden Park...beautiful, and totally free!!! I like free!!!! Only downside...it was blazing, especially in that cactus room, go figure!!!

He wont look at the camera for nothin'!

He was mesmerized!!

Cacti....;-p
I like these!

It was so pretty here!

Those leaves were huge, like bigger than us huge!!
After the conservatory we headed over to Carew tower, the tallest building in Cincinnati (maybe! That's up for debate right now, although I really could care less!)  We tripsed all over that tower place mall, in and out of hotels, ritzy hotels, not like the holiday inns we're accustomed too! It was pretty funny b/c people were so friendly, and held open doors, and went out of their way for us becuase they thought we were staying at the hotel!  Finally we found the elevator that would take us up 49 floors to the observation deck!!! This was seriously worth the $2.00 they charged us!  Here are some shots we got....
Daddy and Jamison!

He kept going to this and saying "ride"! I'm not sure what he thought it was gonna do!
Suspension Bridge!
Me and the bayba Lump!
Union Terminal, I can't help but think of Girl Scouts everytime I see this, and the 8 Hellacious hours we spent here waiting for a train to take us to Washinton D.C....Good Times, Good Times!!!

Toddler vs. Python!

So today was the first day of our seven day vacation from work! Coney Island was offering all the rides you can ride for $5.95...okay, SOLD!  We had such a great time, haven't been to Coney in awhile so we figured why not!  Jamison was a total beast! That boy conqured more rides than most older kiddos.  We started with some kiddie rides, and by the end of the day he was riding the biggest rides in the park, the roller coaster, the 4 story drop, the pirate ship, etc etc!  The biggest reaction I got out of him when he got scared was..."Whoa!"  His favorite ride of the day was the giant yellow fun slide, I didnt get any pictures on this one because he INSISTED we all race each time!!!!
This is what we started on...

Here's Jamison taking on the Python!
If you look really hard, you can see Jamison in the left seat!

Not the best shot, but a family picture nonetheless!!!

No time like the present!

My boy is growing up so fast, and yeah, sure, I have pictures to capture all these special moments and milestones, but I figure this will give me a chance to really hold on to as much of that precious innocence and I can, and years from now I'll be able remember ever sweet detail. And, well, everyone else is doing it! So, since  summer is winding down, here are a few of my favorite pictures so far...

Here is a visit out to Papaw Steve's....

My boy sure does love his sweets!!

These are from Grams and Gramps' annual 4th of July Pig-roast!
